Executive Bios

Rick Pal
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Pal is an award-winning serial entrepreneur and investor. Prior to AirGenerate, he was the president of marketingO, a promotional products company with offices in China and U.S.A. He also owned master franchisee rights for Liberty Tax Service in the Greater Houston Area which he grew to over 44 offices and 22,000 customers. Both companies had successful exits. His other investments include Integrity Bank, Direct Marketing Experts, Wings Over England, and Uniperks.

Before venturing on his own, Mr. Pal held several product management positions at Commerce One, Webify Solutions, Navis, and Iconixx. He was also a co-founder of iBlitz.com that was incubated by Garage Ventures and IBM in 2000.

He is the founder of Ek-Disha Non-Profit, Inc. an organization devoted to helping the needy in India. He also created the “Pal - Make a Difference” endowment at his alma mater - The University of Texas at Austin - to award an annual scholarship to students making a difference in their community. He is a board member of the Texas Union Advisory Council and Indo-American Chamber of Commerce. He also regularly writes for his Business Forum section in Voice
of Asia and Minority Executive Report. His other charity involvement includes UNCF, Red Cross, Goodwill, United Way, Daya, and Pratham.

He is a graduate of the Business School at the University of Texas at Austin.


Sunil Sinha
Chief Scientist

Mr. Sinha has more than 25 years of experience with engineering and management in the fields of renewable energy, energy conservation and software development. Prior to inventing the AirTap heat pump liquid heater, he was founder and President of a solar photovoltaic company in the Bay Area, California.

Mr. Sinha has conducted extensive research in refrigeration technology, solar thermal electricity generation, biomass chemical conversion to useful fuels, methanol fuel cells, and decentralized/integrated renewable energy systems.
Mr. Sinha strives to find alternative energy solutions, having worked with well-known organizations such as: the Hawaii Natural Energy Institute, the Gujarat Energy Development Agency, and the Indian Institute of Management.

As project manager, Mr. Sinha has led energy projects like solar thermal and electric systems, wind power generation, biogas and biomass energy projects. He even developed a self-sustaining model of energy consumption for a village in India using local energy resources.

Mr. Sinha holds several research papers, dissertations and patents in the area of heat pump liquid heaters, solar photovoltaic systems, biomass chemical conversion, catalysis, integrated renewable energy systems and solar thermal electricity generation. He plans to continue working on his dream of creating commercially viable energy-efficient solutions in the hopes of solving energy and environmental problems within the next decade.

Mr. Sinha holds a Bachelors in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and has attended the Indian Institute of Management, in Ahmendabad, for management study. Mr. Sinha also holds a Masters degree in Engineering from the University of Hawaii.

Chris Wolfe
Counsel

Mr. Wolfe has more than 23 years of experience in representing energy industry businesses. Other areas of expertise are oil and gas taxation, corporate and partnership taxation and mergers and acquisitions.

Suhrid Thakore
Board Member

Mr. Thakore is a Managing Director of UHY Advisors TX, LLC.  He is also a Partner with UHY LLP, a licensed CPA firm, and is a licensed CPA in the state of Texas, as well as a chartered accountant in the UK.

In his role at UHY, Mr. Thakore oversees and provides financial expertise in a variety of financial reporting engagements for private as well as public companies in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, distribution, energy, financial and has significant experience in working with international companies.

He is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Houston Chapter of TSCPA, and The Institute of Chartered Accountants (England & Wales).

Mr. Thakore has a B.B.A. from University of Bombay, India and a Diploma in Accounting from Oxford Brooks University, England.


Jasbir Singh
Financial Advisor

Jasbir has served as CFO/ VP Finance for numerous start-up companies in Silicon Valley since 1996. His portfolio of companies include Equator Technologies (acquired by PixelWorks in 2005) and Versatile Optical Networks (acquired by Vitesse Semiconductor in 2001). He also helped spin-off the digital imaging division of Conexant Systems in 2002, served as the VP Finance for the newly formed entity and ultimately sold that business segment to ESS Technology in 2003.

Jasbir started his career with KPMG in 1991. Jasbir holds BBA and MBA degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and is a member of the AICPA.
